When I was growing up I really disliked brussel sprouts, but as I grew older and started trying them again, I realized that it wasn’t the sprouts itself, it was the way it was prepared, they were always overcooked and tasted bitter! So now that I make them myself, I try not to over cook them. These sprouts are simple and easy to make so give them a try!
Blackened Brussel Sprouts With Mushrooms

brussels sprouts

sliced mushrooms

cup
of sliced onions

tbsp
coconut olive oil

tsp
garlic powder

tsp
black pepper and salt

Heat a skillet with coconut oil and sweat the onions and garlic. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the brussel sprouts.

Add the mushrooms and brussel sprouts to the skillet and blacken them.

Serve hot.
