These madeleines are so easy and chocolaty. You can’t just eat one!

Vegan Chocolate Chip Madeleines

Ingredients

  • 10 tbsp vegan butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup apple sauce
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2/3 cups mini chocolate chips I used Enjoy Life

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Melt the butter and maple syrup in a small saucepan and simmer until syrupy.
  2. Pour into a bowl and set aside to cool. Add apple sauce and sugar together for about 8 minutes.
  3. Fold in the flour then the butter mixture. Stir in the chocolate into the mixture.
  4. Pour the batter into the madeleine molds and bake for about 15 minutes. Serve warm.
