Sweet And Sour Cauliflower


I enjoy cauliflower and sweet and sour dishes and had some one day at a restaurant and thought I would try to make some myself.  Check out my attempt below of sweet and sour cauliflower and sound off in the comments on your thoughts about it!

Sweet and Sour Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • 1/2 head cauliflower cut into small florets (about 1/2-inch size)
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup rice flour

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp  soy sauce
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp  sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Whisk garlic, ginger, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and sesame oil in a small container, set aside.
  2. Mix rice flour, salt, pepper, paprika, parsley, onion together with cauliflower. Warm up a frying pan and coat with olive oil and fry the cauliflower.
  3. Once the cauliflower is fried, coat them with the sauce mixture that was set aside, for about 1 minute.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

    Looks great and i like your thinking when you saw the dish you ate at the restaurant as an opportunity to try it at home. I too believe the kitchen is a place of adventure and fun and exactly the place to experiment on dishes you liked whether in a restaurant, a friends house or on line!
