Red beans and rice with a kick to it!
Heat olive oil in large saucepan and saute garlic and onions until tender.
Stir in drained kidney beans, salt, pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper and hot sauce.
Add the water, butter and rice and stir and return to boil. Cook for about 20 mins or until the rice is done. Let stand for 5 minutes from heat before serving.
Garnish with green onions (scallions).
